THE COMPANY

trEd Dance is based in Tulsa, OK.  All cast/crew members make a 9 month commitment for the season (Sept-May). Alternative entry times are available. 

Joining trEd provides a unique opportunity for individuals to train and grow both technically as a performer, and spiritually as a believer. Members must display a devoted commitment to Christ and a strong work ethic, as well as a willing heart to serve continually and a desire to minister to others.

For consideration, they must exhibit an intermediate to advanced level in one or more of the following: dance, music, percussion, martial arts or gymnastics. Technicians should be experienced in one or more of the following: photography/video, audio, stage lighting, stagehand, film editing, graphic arts.

·      Members attend weekly classes/meetings for spiritual development. This will include Biblical study, community worship and prayer, and devotionals.

·      The specific schedule is determined at the outset of each season. Class and rehearsal are 3-4 days a week. Daily technique classes include modern, jazz, hip-hop, and ballet.  Other disciplines include stage combat, boot camp, martial arts, circuit and strength training.

·      Members must be 18 years old or older or have completed high school, and are responsible to secure their own housing and provide their own meals.

·      Members are able to find part-time employment, but must be available for all trEd engagements, including domestic/international touring and local/regional outreach.

·      Members are welcome to secure personal fundraising and/or obtain individual financial sponsorship. trEd is a non-profit ministry, so individuals are able to receive donations towards their tuition/expenses.
